I went to the Loveland Farmers Market yesterday.  Don’t you just love the name of that town…”Loveland”!  Anyway, I bought some of my most favorite bread ever–the “Bad Boy”.  Really…that’s what it’s named.  Needless to say, it’s fun ordering…”May I have a Bad Boy please?”  It’s kind of like an everything bagel, but crusty on the outside and soft on the inside.  Made locally by Blue Oven Bakery in Williamsburg, Ohio, in a wood fired oven –it’s heavenly!

I also made an easy new “healthy” recipe last night.  It’s 1/2 cup of cooked chicken (I put a little olive oil in a pan, cut the chicken tenderloin into 1/2 inch pieces, and cooked it on the stove for about 10 minutes), 3 tablespoons of a sweet apple cut into small pieces, 2 tablespoons of red grapes cut into small pieces, and 1 tablespoon of honey on a large Romaine…

Perceptions of a reluctant Homemaker

It’s exactly a month today since I joined WordPress. It’s been an exciting, enriching and reflective month.

Exciting as it helped me connect and converse with people around the world.

Enriching as I got to read great pieces of writing and see wonderful work of art and photography.

Reflective as I realised that I need to work really hard on my writing.

I managed to put up 20 posts  this past month. Quite prolific I thought! Perhaps it’s the novelty of it all. Perhaps, as the novelty dies, I may not be so prolific. Whatever the reason, it has been a great and memorable experience.

Friends, I took my husband to Crex to watch the loons feeding their babies, as we watched they swam very close to our vehicle.  After one of the dives, this adult bird surfaced within ten feet of me and i was able to shoot this shot.  The morning was cool and the water was like glass.  i couldn’t resist showing you one more loon in a little different pose, but the eye is still there.  Til Tomorrow MJ
